If you are like me and spend a several hours a day sitting in traffic, you probably tune-in to a terrestrial radio station.  My go-to station in the mornings and evenings is 102.1 The Edge. While the Edge may not appeal to everyone, beer enthusiasts may want to check out Fearless Fred from 2-7pm. Fred features what he calls “The Beer Break” every Friday with well-known Toronto beer blogger Chris Schryer from The Toronto Beer Blog. Chris brings in a new beer every week and discusses the particulars of the beer, followed by a tasting. Last week they featured Muskoka Brewery’s Double Chocolate Rainbow Stout.

Fearless has a good sense of humour and I find this segment rather enjoyable.  I think this kind of exposure is great for the craft brewers. The Edge has such a large listener base it will undoubtably spark people’s curiosity to go out and try a bottle themselves.

Fearless Fred has been hosting the afternoon drives since August 2009. You can check out his profile page and blog at edge.ca. Fred is an avid comic book fan, who not only reads but also writes his own comics! You can find his comics at BigSexyComics.

Please pay a visit Chris’s blog at

. Chris describes himself as “ardent supporter of beer” and posts regular updates on the happenings in the beer world, beer reviews, and events.

Cheers,

Kyle
